Lily Bean Micro-Roasted Coffee in Shelby

It seems like they are often out of things. Today, it was whipped cream. Last time, it was syrup. The employees are WONDERFUL and helpful and kind. The atmosphere is relaxing.

Nothing pairs better with college studies than a nice cup of Lily Bean coffee! Great selection, taste & price! The barista was very kind and welcoming. I proudly declare my new study hub!

Lily Bean has been a great option for coffee in Uptown for years...and I love that they've added Tony's ice cream this summer! It's so nice not to have to drive to get locally-made ice cream, and it's fun to be able to mix it with coffee for all kinds of tasty treats.

BEST service and quality product. The drinks, pastries, and now ICE CREAM are amazing. Great place to tuck away to work or meet friends. I go there quite a few times a week for both. Certainly one of my favorite spots in town.

I was in town for a wedding from Atlanta and had never been to this cute little town. When you think about cute little towns, do you think about where people meet up or if there is anything to do? This place is THAT place. Super cute and the coffee is great! Friendly staff and I love how there were so many regulars during my quick stop. They must keep returning for some reason! If I lived here, I would, too!

I'm lucky enough to be able to take a short walk to LilyBean almost every day and the coffee never disappoints. So now they have added Tony's Ice Cream which we used to have to travel to get! Don't miss a chocolate malt or the banana pudding ice cream if your lucky enough to be there when it's available.

A very relaxing atmosphere with great old character and currently a unique “photographer” display. The barista was sweet and extremely knowledgeable!

Best coffee ever in terms of both quality of the beans and how the coffee is made; the flavor is spot on! I got their ground beans as a gift to use with my french press and it made wonderfully fresh tasting coffee for days. Their shop is really cute too and very far from corporate. I got the Mexican coffee recently and it was made perfectly and with care. The barista was patient, considered exactly what I had in my mind and delivered something even better! I can't wait to try their cold brews, muffins and CBD honey sticks. I've promised myself to visit LilyBean every time I'm in town, as a treat to myself!

Good coffee. The coffee beans are well priced but really, really need to have a roasted date on them (they roast their own beans). Nice place!

What a cute, quaint, comfortable place. I love the fact they have a selection of healthy snack foods. An added breakfast selection would go great here, like quiches, egg pizzas, fruit etc. I got their signature coffee, which she was able to make it less sugar and lite for me. As I waited, several people walked in and we're greeted with friendship...the regulars. From their atmosphere I could tell there's a lot of returning business. I instantly fell in love with this place.

My girlfriend and I visited Shelby for an event and went out looking for coffee on the square - we were fortunate enough to stumble into LilyBean for breakfast and a dark roast and got to talk with the owners about shelby and their shop. GREAT coffee, GREAT place, beautifully decorated, GREAT food and wonderful people. We will make this a regular spot for us every time we come to town. <3 the LilyBean folks! 5 Stars!!!

Absolutely amazing coffee shop. It's one of my favorite places to go in Shelby. The service is great, amazing coffee/teas, and an overall good atmosphere to be immersed in.

I was passing through town while on vacation and decided to make a quick coffee stop. I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere was so cool and relaxed, and my barista, Savannah, was friendly and efficient. She made me a honey lavender latte! I can’t get that at a big chain coffee shop! I would recommend LilyBean to anyone.

Good and friendly service. A great place to relax with art, books, merchandise, and magazines. They have plenty of seating options and a menu with plenty of choices. They now serve Tony's ice cream.

Well, of course the coffee is good. They roast their own. But it's SO MUCH MORE! LilyBean's owners have worked hard to create a true hometown business. They are local and they hire local - AND TRAIN THEM! Not just to make complicated coffee drinks, but also to treat customers (even the difficult ones, and I've seen this personally) with kindness, dignity, and compassion. You want super-fast, corporate sludge - go elsewhere.You want a fantastic drink and a home-baked snack served with a sincere smile that reaches all the way to the barista's eyes - go to LilyBean.

I love coming to read in the casual comfy community that is Lily Bean's. The coffee is so smooth, fresh and delish and the atmosphere just begs you to sit a bit.

Great little coffee shop! Nice ambient atmosphere, and the barista was very nice and very accommodating. I had the coffee of the day (can't remember the name) and it was a good cup of coffee. Everything seemed fairly priced as well. Great spot if you need some time to work and a solid cup of coffee!
